(Payment for the level one course must be received in advance of the course commencing)

Please note that for a one off the level one children’s course is being made available for £45. It is recommended that coaches working up to U12 level would benefit greatly from this course, with the course focusing in on coaching children up to U12 level. The course is limited to a maximum of 20 places. Payment must be received in advance of the course commencing.

Course Times

Child protection courses will commence at 7pm

Foundation award courses will commence at 9:30am

Level one award courses will commence at 7pm on the Friday evening

Please note all participants who complete the foundation coaching award must also attend the child protection course, failure to attend the child protection course will result in the course not being certified.

All participants attending the level one and the foundation award courses are requested to bring suitable indoor and outdoor gear.

‘Hub’ Hangs Up the County Boots

The Tyrone GAA Senior Football team manager Mickey Harte has tonight confirmed that Kevin Hughes has retired from inter county football.

Tyrone County Board Chairman Ciaran McLaughlin said that “It’s very disappointing when someone of the calibre of Kevin Hughes decides to hang up the boots. In some ways it is understandable after all of the work that men like ‘Hub’ have put in over the years. He has played a huge part in delivering two of our three All Ireland Senior wins, in 2003 and 2008, as well as numerous Ulster and All Ireland underage medals. Mickey Harte is in the process of trying to replace legends at the minute and the McKenna Cup win on Saturday is evidence of the fact that there’s plenty of talent still around.”

Scór Sinsear Semi Final Qualifiers

The new Scór Sinsear season began last weekend with three venues to cater for the clubs of the county. First up was at Killeeshil with a very competitive and entertaining evening. This was followed equally enjoyable evenings, on Saturday night in Newtownstewart and finally the results night at The Community Centre in Eskra.

This is the first stage in the long road to the All Ireland Finals in the INEC in Killarney on the last Saturday in April. Will the clubs of Tyrone be capable of producing the success of last year or maybe even bettering it?

The next stage of the competition will be the two semi finals at Dean Maguirc College in Carrickmore on Friday 10th February at 8.00 pm and the second at Dún Uladh Centre in Killyclogher on Sunday 12th February at 6.00 pm. Both of these events will be filled with a wealth of cultural talent all eagerly vying for a coveted place in the County Final which is scheduled for Sunday 26th February at 3.00 pm in the Parochial Hall in Coalisland.

Tyrone Ulster Semi Final venue will be Glenswilley Community Centre, Co Donegal on Friday 9th March at 8.00 pm. The Ulster Final is fixed for 26th March with the venue to be finalized. Clubs will then have a month to prepare for the All Ireland Final in Killarney.
